First of all, the HeatGear products from UnderArmour are for hot weather. They keep you cool.

Second of all, this is a “compression” shirt, it is supposed to fit very, very tight.

Third of all, I believe it is underwear (UnderArmour), not meant to be worn as your only top.

My husband loves these UnderArmour shirts, so i decided to try them. I got a short-sleeved one and a sleeveless one and could instantly see how they keep you cool, I got cold just wearing them in the house. I thought a long-sleeved one would be perfect to wear under my jersey while cycling in hot weather. Unfortunately, the long sleeves get kind of twisted when you put this shirt on and it is hard to get it all situated correctly on your body. Furthermore, the sleeves are so tight, they are uncomfortable. But they are SPF 50, and do help keep you from getting sunburned.

Finally I figured out that you can cut off the sleeves and the material won’t unravel. I cut off the sleeves and kept them for arm-coolers – I like them even better than the DeSoto Arm Cooler product! Now that I can take them on and off at will, without taking off the whole shirt, they feel more comfortable. And now my long sleeved UnderArmour shirt is short-sleeved and also more comfortable. I really like the compression aspect because I have weakness in my upper back and the compression effect helps keep my muscles from getting sore when I lean over the bike for several hours on long rides.

So buy this long-sleeved shirt and cut off the sleeves and save the $28 cost of a pair of arm coolers!

Love these tops. I wear them during the hot arizona summers to keep the sun off my skin. They work great. Very comfortable. I also use these as a cycling tops if I don’t need to use pockets.

I like this shirt alot. It is thin, but not anymore see through that any cotton shirt; you will need to wear a neutral colored bra under it. However, I got the pink which i expected to be the dark rose color that is pictured here, and it is actually powder pink. Luckily I actually like the pale pink more, but just a heads up to those who want a darker colored shirt.

I have this shirt in blue. The blue is not see-through, but the lighter colors are. That’s not the issue for me, though, as I wear a sports bra. The warmth is also not an issue — I just wear it for running when it is just a tad too cold for sleeveless. The wicking ability of Under Armour clothing is fantastic (one of the best), but it isn’t THAT great. In other words, I wouldn’t recommend paying their prices (I got mine half price after season, and it was still too much). This is a compression shirt, so it should be tight, but the cut is too straight for women. I normally wear a small, but I bought this in a medium. It fits fine as long as I don’t move. Once I start running, it rides up around my middle, which is VERY annoying. I am fairly thin and athletic (I’m a triathlete), so weight isn’t the issue. I bought a compression shirt at Target for much less and did not have that problem at all. Now, I did buy that shirt in a large because of the issue I had with this one, but it is also cut differently (wider at the bottom for your hips). I like it fitted, but I want it to stay down. Now, I just wear this one as a layering piece under other shirts. If you want warmth, you have to buy the thicker compression shirts. There is no way to see that online, though. They are also much more expensive. I’d go with a different brand to save some money.
