Horse Riding Clothes

Thursday, January 26th, 2012

Buying the right horse riding clothes will help ensure that you are able to enjoy riding your horse in any weather without potentially causing injury or damage to yourself in the process. You will need a full wardrobe of clothes and while some items may seem expensive, these are usually the items where you are strongly advised not to scrimp because they offer the greatest protection to the body.

The hard hat is one of the most important safety items that you can buy. It should fit snugly without being either too loose or too tight. It is possible to buy used hats but you should be extremely wary of dents and other damage that may prevent the hat from doing its job effectively and efficiently. Never use a bike helmet because it will not offer the level of protection that is required.

Good boots are also an important item of horse riding clothes. There are various styles and while you may need show boots for taking part in any class events they are not usually practical for working in the yard or for everyday riding. Choose boost that you are comfortable with and that offer protection to your feet and ankles while riding.

Clothes Rails

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

Clothes rails were designed for the retail industry, mostly as a way of transporting finished garments from place to place. It is odd to think that they did not exist prior to the 1870s. However, they didn’t, the reason for this is that hangers were not commercially available before then. Without the invention of hangers clothes rails would not have been possible.

Once they did become available clothes rails quickly went from being a way of transporting finished clothes from the factory to the retailer to being a way of displaying them. Over the years they have evolved and now there are several kinds available.

Types of Clothes Rails

There are two categories of rails. Those designed for transport and storage and those designed for display. The most common kind the straight A frame rail on wheels can be used for both purposes. These come in different formats, but the form is the same i.e. a bar held up by being attached to two uprights that have an A frame at the bottom onto which wheels are attached.

For displaying clothes fashion rails or fashion clothes rails are best. These allow you to hang clothes face-on, so that the customer can see the entire garment.
